Where Did Andrew Go?

Behind the scenes

The keen-eyed amongst you will have realised that it’s been several months since I last posted in the PerformaGo Diary. Which may have left you wondering, ‘Where did Andrew go?’

Not an unreasonable question, under the circumstances.

Well, there’s been a lot going on, that’s for sure. And in case you are wondering, PerformaGo is still very much centre-frame. But writing about it has taken a bit of a back seat.

The main reason for this is that my writing centre of gravity has shifted.

During the second half of last year, I made this site the main focus of my attention and then re-focused and re-purposed most of the writing I was doing here for the Pacific Blue Learning Academy blog and Pacific Blue AI’s Making Learning Stick blog.

However, as the year drew to a close, I had a bit of a re-think about my writing strategy and decided to shift the centre of writing to gravity to Substack.

Since mid-January, my regular weekly writing has been showing up on my new Learning Re-Framed Substack.

Using Substack has given me several advantages:

  • It is easier to reliably reach a wider audience
  • It has a certain gravitas that a self-published blog like this one doesn’t have, and
  • It allows me to write about all the same kind of topics but with a slightly wider scope than here.

So, for the last few months, I have been focused on getting the Substack publication up and running and populated with quality content, with the idea that I would return to this blog and the long-running Learning Academy blog once I felt that the Substack publication was established.

It feels like that moment has arrived.

So, I’m ready to start adding some more posts to this blog (albeit less frequently than last year) to continue the story of PerformaGo and provide more background and context than you might find in my Substack writing.

If you would like to keep up-to-date with the very latest on planet-Andrew, then I’d strongly encourage you to subscribe to my Substack here. That ensures you get a weekly missive from me straight to your inbox.

What you’ll get each week won’t be as PerformaGo focused but if you are also following the story here, you’ll recognise when I’m writing about PerformaGo-related topics, even if I don’t always call them out by name.

More updates coming soon…
